FAQs

How much does a pet portrait cost?

For a dog portrait or a rainbow bridge portrait, it is £120 + £25 per extra pet.
For a family portrait, it is £150 for the first person and £50 per extra person + £100 for the first pet and £25 per extra pet.

A print is a small additional charge.

How long does it take to get a pet portrait commission completed?

Depending on how booked up my commissions are, it may be up to a couple of months wait before I can begin on your portrait. From the start date, the turnaround tends to be 1-2 weeks for a portrait. If your deadline is tight, please contact me and I will try my best to help.

Where can I get a cat portrait drawn?

You’re at the right place already. Although I primarily draw dogs, I have drawn many different types of pets over the years including many cats, plus rabbits and other animals too. Prices are the same no matter what type of pet.

Can I be in a pet portrait with my pet?

Absolutely! My family portraits are to celebrate the bond we have with our dogs, and includes humans in the portrait too.

Where did the concept of rainbow bridge come from?

The concept of rainbow bridge is thought to originate from a Scottish teenager,  Edna Clyne-Rekhy, who wrote a poem in 1959. Since then, the idea has become popular by several poems and stories. There is also a belief that it has roots in Norse mythology of the Bifröst Bridge.

The idea of rainbow bridge is that it is a comforting place where pets wait for their humans after they have passed.

My rainbow bridge portraits depict a place that you know your dog would love, and they have all of their toys and comforts around them.
